Beetlejuice is more sober than he's been for 30 years. But he's also nursing a few broken bones and will probably be out of the only official job he has been offered for decades. William Hay, 50, a.k.a. Beetlejuice, an alcoholic who lives by binning -- collecting recyclables from garbage cans and dumpsters and returning them for the deposit money -- estimates he has lived in Victoria's parks and streets for at least 15 years.

Serious, humorous names for new Pool
There has been a great response to name that grain company. With the takeover of Agricore United, Saskatchewan Wheat Pool is looking for a new name. For some, there is still a deep reverence and emotional attachment to the original farmer roots of the Pool. Even though it long ago ceased to be a farmer-owned and controlled co-operative, for these people, it's still a proud Saskatchewan institution. The serious name suggestions included many common elements. There was Prairie Grain, Prairie Pool United, Heartland Agricorp, SaskPool (as one word), Canadian International Grain Company, Agri-Pool, and Prairie Grains Unlimited.
