Cupp has been part of the University of Brighton since 2003. Their work is focused on creating, developing and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships between the university and its local community. Cupp started as an externally funded project but is now part of the universitys core functions. Cupp provides support to researchers interested in community-based research in the form of workshops, face-to-face consultation, mentoring, setting up contacts in other countries through existing networks. Cupp is an interesting example of an institutional structure to support Community-University partnerships.
